Miss China, 23-year old Wen Xia Yu from Liaoning, was crowned Miss World 2012 during the 62nd edition of the competition held in Ordos, China on August 18th. 1.78 m tall Yu, will spend her year working for charitable causes and fulfilling her duties as Miss World.
Yu Wenxia (born August 6, 1989 in Harbin) is a Chinese model and beauty queen.
This is the second time Miss China has been awarded the title. The last time was in 2007 when Zhang Zilin took the honour.
Yu Wenxia is a music student who says she wants to become a music teacher.
The 2nd Place was Wales - Sophie Elizabeth MOULDS
The 3rd Place was Jessica Michelle KAHAWATY, representing Australia.
