Walk with ME (Mother Earth): A Walk for the Green Cause. Saving the Earth, one step at a time.
To promote walking as a better alternative for transportation, Miss Earth embarks on Walk with ME.
This aims to encourage people to lower their carbon footprint by reducing fuel consumption. On top of that, the delegates give out indigenous seedlings to increase our carbon sinks, especially in the metro.

The breathtaking beauties of MISS EARTH 2012 strutted in their own swim wear at the poolside lounge on the 3rd floor of the Best Western Premier F1 Hotel of BGC on November 6, 2012 in front of the media of the presscon. Opening up the event was Cathy Untalan, Director of Miss Earth Foundation, with a meaningful piece entitled "Moment for the Earth" which was recited by the eco-delegates to remind us all to keep in mind our Earth, what is has done for us and what we can commit to give back.
Apart from the delegate's parade of introductions, an exciting raffle draw was held for the media and press attendees who were also given a chance to vote for their favourite Miss Earth 2012 candidate and award 3 lucky gorgeous ladies as "Darling of the Press." The popular darlings are: Miss USA for Bronze, Miss Thailand for Silver and Miss Philippines for Gold!

For the first group: 3rd place -- Australia, 2nd place -- Nepal and 1st place -- Turkey. One chaperon noted that this is Nepal's second medal. Nepal's very happy!

Miss Earth 2012 Press Presentation

Miss Earth 2012, the 12th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, will take place on November 24, 2012 at the Versailles Palace in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The pageant will be broadcasted live internationally on Star World at 8:00 p.m. and will be shown on November 25, 2012, 10:00 a.m. on ABS-CBN, or coverage on Studio 23, TFC-The Filipino Channel, and also on channels of participating counties worldwide.[2] Olga Álava from Ecuador, will crown her successor at the end of the event. 80+ contestants will compete for the crown in this year's edition.
This year’s pageant aligns itself with the United Nations General Assembly’s declaration of 2012 as the "International Year of Sustainable Energy for All", which aims to ensure universal access to modern energy services.

Miss Earth México 2011, the 10th annual national beauty pageant of Miss Earth México, was held on September 17, 2011 in Quintana Roo, Municipality of Othon P. Blanco. Claudia Mollinedo of Tabasco, crowned the winner Casandra Ananké Becerra Vázquez from Distrito Federal.
The winner of Miss Earth México 2011 represented México in the international Miss Earth 2011 pageant which was held on December 3, 2011 at the University of the Philippines Theater in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines, where Casandra Becerra was Top 8 Finalists in Miss Earth 2011.
