The breathtaking beauties of MISS EARTH 2012 strutted in their own swim wear at the poolside lounge on the 3rd floor of the Best Western Premier F1 Hotel of BGC on November 6, 2012 in front of the media of the presscon. Opening up the event was Cathy Untalan, Director of Miss Earth Foundation, with a meaningful piece entitled "Moment for the Earth" which was recited by the eco-delegates to remind us all to keep in mind our Earth, what is has done for us and what we can commit to give back.
Apart from the delegate's parade of introductions, an exciting raffle draw was held for the media and press attendees who were also given a chance to vote for their favourite Miss Earth 2012 candidate and award 3 lucky gorgeous ladies as "Darling of the Press." The popular darlings are: Miss USA for Bronze, Miss Thailand for Silver and Miss Philippines for Gold!

Miss Earth 2012, the 12th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, will take place on November 24, 2012 at the Versailles Palace in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The pageant will be broadcasted live internationally on Star World at 8:00 p.m. and will be shown on November 25, 2012, 10:00 a.m. on ABS-CBN, or coverage on Studio 23, TFC-The Filipino Channel, and also on channels of participating counties worldwide.[2] Olga Álava from Ecuador, will crown her successor at the end of the event. 80+ contestants will compete for the crown in this year's edition.
This year’s pageant aligns itself with the United Nations General Assembly’s declaration of 2012 as the "International Year of Sustainable Energy for All", which aims to ensure universal access to modern energy services.

Hanni Beronius (January 21, 1990) is a Swedish beauty queen who was crowned Miss Universe Sweden in 2012. Beronius will now represent Sweden in Miss Universe 2012 in December. Her father is Swedish and her mother was brought up in Iran by a Swedish mother and Persian father. Beronius lives in Gothenburg, Sweden. Hanni Beronius is the first Swedish contestant at Miss Universe to be of Persian descent. Hanni Beronius in 2010 filed a complaint to the police about people taking her photos and using them to create fake Facebook accounts, which led to Beronius being harassed by people via phonecalls and texts messages
